Jason Anderson - Teacher trainer, writer and consultant

I am a UK-based teacher educator, author and educational consultant with over twenty years of experience training teachers for primary, secondary and tertiary contexts in Africa (Malawi, Rwanda, Eritrea, Kenya, Algeria, Egypt), Europe (UK, Italy, Ukraine, Turkey) and Asia (Bangladesh, Malaysia), both pre-service and in-service. My key skills include:

  • Award-winning, bestselling author of books for English language teachers

  • Lead consultant and trainer for the UNICEF Child-friendly Schools project

  • Extensive experience of capacity building in low-income countries

  • Published academic researcher with papers in leading language teaching journals

  • Experienced public speaker and workshop facilitator

  • National curriculum development experience

  • Proven pre-service teacher training course designer and director

  • Cambridge and Trinity College London approved English language teacher trainer

I am interested in both short and long-term projects involving the development of pre-service and in-service teacher training programmes, curricula and learning resources, both for language teaching and mainstream primary and secondary education. I have a strong interest in context-specific approaches to training and teaching methodology, and work in close conjunction with partner organisations and stakeholders to ensure solutions are locally developed and culturally appropriate.
