I am a UK-based teacher educator, author, educational consultant and researcher with extensive experience supporting teachers in primary, secondary and tertiary contexts in Africa (Algeria, Egypt, Eritrea, Kenya, Malawi, Morocco, Rwanda, South Africa), Europe (Austria, Italy, Turkey, UK, Ukraine) and Asia (Bangladesh, China, India, Malaysia, Thailand). I have won awards both for my writing and for my research into teacher education in a range of areas.
I am interested in projects in both pre-service and in-service teacher education. I work both in language teaching and mainstream education, where I have trained and developed materials for primary and secondary teachers for UNICEF, British Council, VSO and others. I have a strong interest in context-specific approaches to teacher education, and work closely with stakeholders to ensure solutions are locally developed, appropriate and effective.
